Find help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce. DivorceCare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. Each DivorceCare session has two distinct elements: A Seminar with Experts During the first 30—40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video. They discover that there are others who have the same kind of feelings they do—and who understand the hurt and pain they are going through. Here is an overview of the DivorceCare experience: Those feelings go away quickly for most people, usually during the first session they attend.

Celebrate Recovery CR is a Christ-centered, biblically based recovery ministry that points all participants to the redemptive and transformational power found in the Gospel. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. Almost five years ago I was blessed to encounter a program called Celebrate Recovery. Little did I know at the time that CR would be the tool I would use to turn my complete mess into a message for his Glory. Celebrate Recovery is a 12 step, biblically-based program that will help you overcome whatever hurt, habit, or hang-up is interrupting your peace and serenity if you want it to.
Admitting that is what lead to me addressing my hang-up and obtaining the peace I have today.
DivorceCare is designed to be a safe environment, and dating relationships between group participants are not encouraged (to allow you time to focus on your personal healing). Your children will have the opportunity to heal.
Welcome to your first step in an amazing spiritual adventure! Celebrate Recovery is not a quick fix. Celebrate Recovery allows us to be changed! We open the door to change by sharing our experiences, victories and hopes with each other. By working Christ-centered steps and applying their Biblical principles found in the Word of God, we begin to grow spiritually.
We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors!

Ali Binazir I went to a talk a couple of weeks ago by a psychologist who said that battered wives go back to the abusing husband on average 7 times, even when social services has already intervened and set everything up for her to leave for good. To someone who is guaranteed to beat you up. Does that make any sense? You know what else doesn’t make sense? BDSM dungeons, where people pay good money to get abused by some latex-clad lady.
Here’s a rubric I made for making sense of seemingly bizarre human behavior.
Celebrate Recovery uses the Twelve Steps and its related Scripture as the biblical model for living your life. A Step Study is a personal journey though each of these steps in a confidential group lead by a facilitator who has completed a study.
Fear that you will relapse. Fear that you will cheat again. Fear that you may lose your job because of a slip at work. There are more fears than I can list here. They fear being hurt again. But you are supposed to be in control of your recovery, right? Can you be in charge of your own recovery and help your wife feel safe at the same time? You Might Have Received Some Bad Advice If you are one of those who is taking recovery seriously you have probably received guidance from many individuals: Some of this guidance may have been conflicting.
It is important to remember that those who are there to help you through your personal recovery are not often marriage experts and some of their well-meaning marriage advice may hurt more than help. How frustrating it must be to be working so hard and go home to someone who may yell, throw things, blame, and not even trust that you are doing what you say you are doing. And what are these guys usually told?
Addiction Recovery: Why We’re Addicted to Negative Behaviors
The priest raises his arms, palms upturned. We stare through the flames, past the boundary of our sacred space, to the patina of white looming over the white sky — Mount Adams, close and huge. Under the immensity of the mountain, a couple of ramshackle barns stick up from the hayfields. Our priest, a straight-backed, snow-haired man, is delivering a homily on the attributes of the thunder god.
Arms raised, the priest pauses. We lean forward, breathless.

Not using the past as an excuse for continuing in our hurts, hang-ups and habits. We meet every Friday in the Cornerstone fellowship hall. Call Cornerstone Church for more information This means each of us needs repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended. What we need is a biblical and balanced program to help people overcome their hurts, habits and hang-ups. Celebrate Recovery is that program. Based of the words of Jesus rather than theories, this program is more effective to help people change than anything else.
When Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount, He began by stating eight ways to be happy. Today we call them the Beatitudes. Rather than wallowing in the past, Celebrate Recovery focuses of the future.

Share Emmer said that the celebration brought ‘some closure to it’. Co-founder of Project Recover Mark Moline also told the station that ‘this is fuel for me to keep the mission going’. The family of Tom Kelly was one of those families.
The purpose of the Recovery Station is to help individuals experience change through encouraging and fellowshipping with one another, and celebrating God’s healing power in our lives as we work our way along the road to recovery.
Recovery has been a process of shedding those substances and behaviors which no longer serve me. And each and every one of those achievements should be celebrated. When I walked into the rooms, I was deeply damaged by my last binge—mentally, physically and emotionally. That weekend, I devoured 14 bottles of wine and a load of codeine tablets. I had fallen to my knees many times before, but this time was different—the very core of my being screamed so loudly that I had a moment of clarity: I am not entirely sure why I made that choice, but I am eternally grateful that I did.
Despite years and years of trying to control my drinking, I was never able to get a grip on it—it had a grip on me. I drank against my will more days, weeks, months, and years than I wish to recall.

Welcome to our Celebrate Recovery page! Celebrate Recovery is a fellowship of people committed to being a safe place where people can be honest about real problems- hurts, habits, and hang-ups- through God’s love and truth. We are a safe, welcoming, grace-filled, Christ-centered fellowship. Together we are experiencing freedom and new life through the power of Jesus Christ. None of us make it through this world without getting hurt, hurting others or ourselves.
Our good intentions have failed us again and again, and we are often left feeling that we are failures as Christians or even as human beings.
Celebrate Recovery Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-Centered Recovery Program designed for anyone with a hurt, habit, or hang-up that prevents you from becoming the kind of person that you desire to be.
CR is for anyone struggling with life. If you have ever had a hurt, if you have ever had a hang-up in life, or perhaps you have struggled with an addiction, then this ministry is for you. We all share one thing in common: After the worship service we will have you go to a Newcomer group your first meeting. This will give you a feel for what to expect in the small groups. All you have to do is show up and we will walk you thru everything.
CR is one of the most loving environments you will be a part of. Everyone here is on the same road as you are, and though your issues may be differing in some ways we all are seeking truth in the same way. This is a safe environment where you can take your mask off and be who you are. It beats a night out on the town!
You will leave charged and refreshed through the fellowship and spiritual healing that come in the context of the Friday night experiences. That being said, we know that life happens and simply ask you to attend what is applicable and convenient for you. Celebrate Recovery does not charge for this ministry. Free-will offerings are received on Sunday evenings.
